The origin ▼

This 100% Gesha microlot comes from Támesis, Colombia, and is grown at an elevation of around 1,800 meters above sea level. The coffee is produced using a carefully controlled process that includes extended fermentation in cherry, followed by depulping, a second fermentation in honey, and slow drying with the mucilage intact. This approach is designed to enhance sweetness and floral aromatics while maintaining clarity and balance in the cup, avoiding the overpowering funk often associated with more aggressive fermentation methods.

The result is an elegant and expressive Gesha, offering a floral and sweet profile with notes of citrus, stone fruit, jasmine, and honey. The refined character and precision of this coffee make it well suited for light to medium roasting and brewing methods such as pour over and drip, where its aromatic complexity can fully shine. Its quality and structure place it among Gesha coffees that are regularly considered competition-level.

Beyond quality, this coffee reflects a broader commitment to long-term sustainability and education at origin. Production supports local training initiatives in Támesis that prepare young professionals for careers across the coffee value chain, from barista skills to quality control. Through careful farming, advanced processing, and community investment, this Gesha represents both an exceptional cup and a meaningful contribution to the future of Colombian specialty coffee.
